Getting There

  • Car

    Start your journey from Mullins Beach by getting onto the main road, Highway 1. Drive north along the coast for about 10 minutes. You will pass through the towns of Speightstown and then continue on Highway 1. Look for signs indicating Black Bess. After approximately 5 kilometers, turn right onto Black Bess Road, which will lead you directly to Black Bess Wood. There is no parking fee, but ensure to park safely along the road.

  • Public Transportation

    From Mullins Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop on Highway 1. Look for a yellow, blue, or white 'Z' bus heading toward Speightstown. The fare is usually around $2 BBD. Once you reach Speightstown, ask the driver to drop you off at the Black Bess stop. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk along Black Bess Road to reach Black Bess Wood. Be cautious as you walk along the roads; there may not be designated sidewalks.
