Established in 1996 by the Seale family, on the site of a former sugar plantation dating back to 1720, the distillery is run by Richard Seale, a fourth-generation rum maker known for his commitment to quality and innovation.The distillery operates an open-house policy, inviting visitors to explore the grounds and learn about the rum-making process at their own pace. Follow the footprints on the floor for a self-guided tour of the working factory, where you can witness the various stages of rum production. Foursquare uses both traditional pot stills and modern column stills to craft a diverse range of rums. The distillery emphasizes purity and authenticity, using locally sourced sugarcane and banning flavorings or additives.Beyond the distillery, the Heritage Park offers a step back in time with historic buildings, colonial architecture, and a folk museum. The landscaped grounds also feature craft shops and food and drink stalls. After your tour, sample Foursquare's exceptional rums at the tasting room. The distillery is open Monday through Friday during business hours, but is closed on weekends and bank holidays.
