Walking
From the center of Blankenberge, head east on Langestraat towards the beach. Continue straight until you reach the coast. Once you are at the beach, walk along the promenade heading north until you reach the train station of Blankenberge (approximately 15-20 minutes). From the train station, take a train to Bruges (Brugge), which takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Bruges station, exit and follow the signs towards the city center (about a 10-minute walk). Continue straight on the main street until you reach the historic center of Bruges. From there, navigate towards Katelijnestraat, which is a short walk away.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Blankenberge. Start by heading towards the coast and then follow the bike path along the beach towards the north. This will lead you to the train station of Blankenberge. Once there, take your bike onto the train to Bruges (ensure you check the bike rules on the train). After arriving at Bruges station, park your bike at a designated bike rack and walk towards the city center. It’s a 10-minute walk from the station to Katelijnestraat.

To reach Katelijnestraat in Bruges from Blankenberge, start at the Blankenberge train station. Buy a ticket for Bruges (Brugge) and take the train, which runs frequently (approximately every 30 minutes). The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at Bruges station, exit the train and look for signs leading you to the city center. Walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the area around Katelijnestraat.
