Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you're starting from the Blankenberge train station, exit the station and head straight on Zeelaan, the main road that leads directly towards the beach. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the beach area. Once you arrive at the beach, turn right onto the Digue de mer (Zeedijk) which runs parallel to the shore. Follow the path along the waterfront to enjoy the views. You will know you are on the Zeedijk when you see the promenade lined with cafes and shops.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Blankenberge train station, you can take a local bus to the beach. Look for bus line 33 or 34 which stops near the beach area. After boarding, stay on the bus for approximately 5-10 minutes and get off at the Zeedijk stop. When you get off, you will find yourself at the Digue de mer (Zeedijk). Simply walk towards the beach and you will be on the promenade.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, head towards the beach by cycling down Zeelaan from the Blankenberge train station. This road is bicycle-friendly and will lead you directly to the beach. Once you arrive at the beach, park your bike in one of the bike racks available and proceed to the Digue de mer (Zeedijk) by walking right along the promenade.
