Walking
From the center of Bruges, head towards the main square, Markt. Once you reach the square, look for the Belfry of Bruges. Exit the square from the side facing the Belfry and walk straight along Geldmuntstraat. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with the canal. Turn right onto the canal path (Zandstraat) and continue walking along the canal until you reach the bridge at the end of the street. Cross the bridge and turn left onto the main road, which is called Zwanestraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Veermanplein. Portus Ganda will be located directly on your left at Veermanplein 2.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer to take public transport, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for bus lines that connect Bruges to Ghent. You can take the bus number 5, which operates frequently. Get off at the Ghent city center bus stop (e.g., St. Pietersplein). From there, follow the signs to 'Veermanplein'. Walk towards the main road (Vlaanderenstraat) and follow it until you reach the river. Cross the river at the nearest bridge and continue walking straight until you reach Veermanplein. Portus Ganda will be on your right.
Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops around Bruges. Once you have your bike, head towards the 'Bruges to Ghent' bike route. Follow the signs that indicate the path to Ghent, which generally leads you along the scenic countryside. After about 30 minutes of cycling, you will arrive in Ghent. Once you enter Ghent, follow the signs to the city center and then navigate to Veermanplein. Portus Ganda is located at Veermanplein 2.
