Train
From Brussels Central Station, take the train to Leuven. Trains to Leuven run frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. The journey lasts about 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Leuven Station, exit the station and head towards the main street, Diestsestraat.
Bus
From Brussels, you can also take a bus to Leuven. Buses leave from Brussels’ major bus terminals, such as Brussels North Station or Brussels South Station. Check the schedules for the specific bus lines that go to Leuven. The bus journey takes around 40-50 minutes depending on traffic.
Walking
Once you arrive at Leuven Station, exit the station and turn left onto Diestsestraat. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the crossroads with Muntstraat. Turn right onto Muntstraat and continue until you reach the Groot Begijnhof, which will be on your left. The walk is approximately 1 kilometer from the station.
Bicycle
If you're looking to explore Leuven on a bicycle, you can rent one at various locations around Brussels or at Leuven Station. From the station, take the cycle path along Diestsestraat towards the city center. Follow the signs for the Groot Begijnhof, which is well-marked for cyclists.
