Alternatively, from the Grote Markt, head east along the Hoogstraat until you reach the intersection with the Sint-Jacobsstraat. Turn left onto Sint-Jacobsstraat and walk straight for about 500 meters. You will reach the Hoogpoort, located just beyond the intersection with the Bisschopstraat.

    From Gent-Sint-Pieters train station, take tram line 1 towards 'Ledeberg' and get off at the 'Korenmarkt' stop. From Korenmarkt, walk east along the Sint-Baafsplein. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Hoogpoort, which is approximately a 5-minute walk. A single ticket costs €3 and is valid for 60 minutes. Contactless payment is also available on trams and buses for €3 per ride.
