Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Gravensteen Castle, head southwest on Sint-Veerleplein toward the Sint-Veerleplein street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Volderstraat. Turn left onto Volderstraat and continue until you reach the intersection with the Hoogpoort. Take a right onto Hoogpoort, and then a left onto the Botermarkt. Ghent City Hall will be located on your left at Botermarkt 1.

    From the St. Bavo's Cathedral, head south on the Sint-Baafsplein toward the Veldstraat. Turn right onto the Veldstraat and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Botermarkt. Turn left onto Botermarkt, and you will find Ghent City Hall at Botermarkt 1 on your right.

    If you are near the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, take tram line 1 towards 'Ledeberg' or tram line 4 towards 'Zwijnaarde'. Get off at the stop 'Korenmarkt'.
