Getting There

  • Public Transport

    From Genk Station, take bus line 34 towards 'Bokrijk' or 'Lanklaar'. The bus stop 'Bokrijk' is located just outside the museum. The total bus fare is approximately €3.50. Alternatively, from Hasselt Station, take bus route 12 and disembark at the stop on Hasseltweg, from there it is a 10-minute walk to the park.

  • Train

    Bokrijk has its own train station, a 5-minute walk from the park. Direct trains run hourly from Brussels, Hasselt and Genk. Consider purchasing a Discovery Ticket from NMBS for a 50% discount on your train ticket when buying an online ticket to the Open-Air Museum. A standard train ticket from Brussels to Bokrijk costs between €10-€15.

  • Car

    If driving, head towards Genk and follow the N76 road. From the E314 motorway, take exit 32 (Genk) and follow signs for Genk. Once in Genk, follow the N76 road. Continue on the N76 until you reach the roundabout at the Bokrijklaan. Take the second exit onto Bokrijklaan. The Bokrijk Open Air Museum will be on your left. Parking is available on-site for €5 per day during the Bokrijk season (April 1 to November 5).
