Originally inhabited by the Debruyne fishing family, nicknamed "Majutte," the cottage offers a glimpse into the lives of those who once braved the North Sea. Imagine a time before the seawall, when the cottage's back nestled right into the dunes, and fishing boats lined the beach just outside the door. Inside, you'll discover a cozy museum filled with unique objects, many donated by visitors. The cottage features a shallow foundation, only three stones deep in the dune sand, and two floors. Duck your head as you enter through the low door and admire the shipwork in the beams. The interior features a wide fireplace, a brine pit in the kitchen, and a board from a Blankenberg boat.
