    Getting There

    Walking

    From the Dinant city center, walk towards the Collegiate Church of Notre Dame. From the church, the base of the Citadel is a short walk. You can either ascend the 408 steps to the top or take the cable car. Note that the stairs are steep and can be challenging.

    Public Transport

    From Dinant train station, take bus line 433 towards DINANT Place Collard. The bus ride takes approximately 1 minute, and the bus stop is a 3-minute walk from the base of the Citadel. From there, you can either ascend the 408 steps or take the cable car to the top. A single bus ticket costs around €1-€3.

    Cable Car

    The cable car station is located near the Collegiate Church. A standard formula ticket, which includes the cable car ride and entry to the Citadel, costs €14 for adults and €12 for children (ages 4-12). Consider purchasing a 3-in-1 ticket for €22 (adult) or €16 (child) to include a river cruise.

    Driving

    From the E411 Brussels-Luxembourg motorway, take exit 20 and follow signs to Dinant. Once in Dinant, follow signs to the Citadelle. Free parking is available at the top of the Citadel. However, during peak season, parking may be limited. As an alternative, paid parking is available in the city center. Parking in the orange zone costs €1 per hour.
