    From the center of Bouillon, head towards the Esplanade Godefroy, following signs for the Château de Bouillon. The walk is approximately 1.2 kilometers and takes about 15-20 minutes uphill. The path is well-marked and offers scenic views of the town and the river. There are no specific costs associated with walking to the castle.

    If arriving by train, take a train to Libramont. From Libramont, take bus line 8 towards Bouillon. Get off at the BOUILLON Quai du Rempart stop. From there, it is a short walk to Bouillon Castle.     If driving, take the N89 road towards Bouillon. Follow the signs for Bouillon and then for Bouillon Castle. The address is Esplanade Godefroy 1, 6830 Bouillon. Strategically positioned on a rocky ridge within a sharp bend of the Semois River, the castle has been a crucial defensive site for centuries.The castle is famously associated with Godfrey of Bouillon, who inherited it in 1082. To finance his participation in the First Crusade, Godfrey sold the castle to Otbert, the Bishop of Liège. Over the centuries, the castle underwent several sieges and changes in ownership. In the late 17th century, Louis XIV's military architect, Vauban, enhanced the castle with heavy artillery fortifications.Today, visitors can explore the castle's extensive complex of tunnels, dungeons, and ramparts. The site also offers falconry shows, typically running from February to November, showcasing birds of prey. Additionally, the City Pass grants access to other attractions, including the Scriptura Museum, the Ducal Museum, and the Bouillon Medieval Experience. During certain times of the year, visitors can enjoy the 'Odyssey of Light' show, an immersive experience that combines history and technology.
