You will see signs directing you to Natuurgebied 'De Maten' as you approach the area. The entrance to the park will be on your left side. It should take you around 25-30 minutes to walk there.

To reach Natuurgebied 'De Maten' by bicycle, begin at the Genk Train Station (Stationstraat 2). Head east on Stationstraat, then take a left onto Vennestraat. Continue to Maaseikerweg and turn right. Follow Maaseikerweg for about 1.5 kilometers. You can use the designated bike lanes for a safer journey. Look for the signs towards Natuurgebied 'De Maten'; the entrance will be on your left. Cycling should take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Public Transport

From the Genk Train Station, take Bus Line 34 towards 'Lummen'. Disembark at the 'Zwartberg' stop. From there, walk south on Zwartbergstraat until you reach the intersection with Maaseikerweg. Turn left onto Maaseikerweg and continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you arrive at Natuurgebied 'De Maten'. The total journey by bus and walking should take around 30-40 minutes.
