The museum aims to make design accessible to everyone through guided tours, workshops, conferences and events. The Design Museum Brussels is located in the Heysel/Heizel Park, near the Atomium. The building itself has a unique history, originally a shopping mall before being transformed into a museum. The renovation, led by Lhoas & Lhoas Architecture, preserved the building's Brutalist character while creating modern exhibition spaces.
