Getting There

  • Walking

    From the city center of Mechelen, head east on the Kruidtuinstraat towards the Goudenleeuwstraat. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with the Mechelsestraat. Turn right onto Mechelsestraat and continue walking until you reach the main square (Grote Markt). At the Grote Markt, you will see the St. Rumbold's Cathedral. From the cathedral, exit the square heading towards the city hall (Stadhuis) and then proceed to the intersection with the Vismarkt. Turn left onto the Vismarkt and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Rodestraat. Turn right onto Rodestraat. After a short walk, you will find the Beguinage at Rodestraat 39.

    From the Mechelen train station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Take the bus number 1 or 3 towards 'Antwerpen'. After a short ride, get off at the stop 'Begijnhof'. From the bus stop, walk along the Rodestraat for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Beguinage located at Rodestraat 39.
