    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Mechelen, head southeast towards the Mechelsestraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Brusselsesteenweg (N1). Turn left onto Brusselsesteenweg and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs directing you towards the Sonian Forest. Once you reach the forest entrance, follow the paths marked for walkers.

    Bicycle

    Start at the Mechelen train station and head south towards the Mechelsestraat. Turn left onto Brusselsesteenweg (N1) and follow the bike lanes for approximately 1.5 kilometers. There are several bike rental stations near the station if you need a bike. Keep an eye out for signs that indicate the direction to the Sonian Forest as you ride along.

    Public Transport

    From the Mechelen train station, take the train towards Brussels. Get off at the 'Tervuren' station, which is the closest to the Sonian Forest. From Tervuren station, you can either walk (about 2 kilometers) or take a local bus (Bus 366) towards the Sonian Forest. The bus stops are located close to the station. Once you arrive at the forest, follow the designated walking paths to explore.
