Getting there

Walking

From the center of Namur, near the Walloon Parliament, follow the marked footpaths uphill towards the Citadelle. The 'spirale du temps' (spiral of time) staircase is a direct route. Be prepared for a steep climb of approximately 15-20 minutes. This option is free.

Public Transport

Take TEC bus line 3 from Namur train station (Rond Point Thonar stop) to the Citadelle. The bus ride takes about 10-15 minutes. A single ticket costs around €2.40. From the bus stop, follow the signs to the Terra Nova visitor center.

Cable Car

Take the cable car from Place Maurice Servais in the city center to the Esplanade at the Citadelle. The ride takes approximately 8 minutes and offers scenic views. A one-way ticket costs approximately €5-7. From the Esplanade, it's a short walk to the main attractions.

Taxi

A taxi from Namur train station to the Citadelle costs approximately €7-€10 and takes around 10 minutes. Ride-sharing services are also available. Be sure to specify 'Citadelle de Namur' as your destination.

Driving

From the E411 highway, take the Namur-Centre exit and follow signs for 'Citadelle'. Drive along the Meuse River and take the Route Merveilleuse behind the Casino. Parking is available at Parking Terra Nova and Esplanade. Parking is free at Terra Nova. Street parking is available, with limited hours. Consider using apps to reserve parking.
