If you are starting from the Nieuwpoort city center, head southwest on the main street, Nieuwpoortstraat. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the N34 road. Cross the road and continue walking straight along the path that runs parallel to the canal. After approximately 500 meters, you will see Het IJzergedenkteken (the Iron Memorial) on your right side, located in a small park area near the canal.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Nieuwpoort. Start from the main square and head south towards the canal. Follow the pathway along the canal for about 2 kilometers. You will pass several scenic views and parks along the way. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards Het IJzergedenkteken, which will be located on your left side near the water.

For those using public transport, take the bus from the central bus station in Nieuwpoort (Bus stop: Nieuwpoort Centrum). Board any bus heading towards Oostende and get off at the stop labeled 'Nieuwpoort, IJzergedenkteken'. From the bus stop, it is a short walk of about 200 meters. Just follow the path in the direction of the canal, and you will see Het IJzergedenkteken directly ahead.
