If you are starting from the Nieuwpoort city center, head southwest on the main street, Nieuwpoortstraat. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with the N34 road. Cross the road and continue walking straight along the path that runs parallel to the canal. After approximately 500 meters, you will see Het IJzergedenkteken (the Iron Memorial) on your right side, located in a small park area near the canal.
