If you are near the Ostend beach, start by walking towards the city center. Head northeast along the beach promenade until you reach the main street, Albert I Promenade. Turn left onto Albert I Promenade and continue walking until you reach the intersection with the Kapucijnenstraat. Turn right onto Kapucijnenstraat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Vlaanderenstraat. Turn left onto Vlaanderenstraat, and you will find The James Ensor House at number 29 on your right.
Bus
If you are near the Ostend train station, you can take bus line 3 towards Oosteroever. Board the bus at the station and travel for approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Vlaanderenstraat' stop. From there, walk south along Vlaanderenstraat for a few minutes. The James Ensor House will be located on your left at number 29.
Tram
If you are closer to the tram line, take tram line 1 or 2 from any nearby tram stop towards Oostende. Get off at the 'Oosteroever' stop. Walk towards the city center along the Oosteroever until you reach the intersection with Vlaanderenstraat. Turn left onto Vlaanderenstraat and walk a short distance. The James Ensor House will be located at number 29 on your right.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the beach area and head towards the city center. Ride along the promenade until you reach the main road, Albert I Promenade. Turn left and continue until you reach Kapucijnenstraat. Turn right onto Kapucijnenstraat and then turn left onto Vlaanderenstraat. You will find The James Ensor House at number 29 on your right.
