Walking
From the Tournai train station, exit onto Rue de la Station. Head southwest towards Rue des Carmes. Continue straight on Rue des Carmes until you reach the junction with Rue de la Reine. Turn left onto Rue de la Reine and follow it as it becomes Rue des Ecoles. Continue along this road until you reach Place Charles de Gaulle, a major square in Tournai. From here, head towards Rue de la Fonderie and then take a right onto Rue de la Fonderie. This will lead you directly towards the river. Cross the bridge over the river and continue straight onto Rue de Lille. Follow Rue de Lille until you reach the border of Tournai, where you will cross into France. Continue straight until you reach Place Simon Vollant in Lille, where the Porte de Paris is located.

From Tournai, take the local bus line 1 towards Lille. Board the bus at Tournai Central Station. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Lille’s main bus station, exit the bus and walk towards the nearby Gare Lille Flandres train station. From there, head towards Rue de Paris and follow the signs to Place Simon Vollant. The Porte de Paris is located in the square. It is a short 10-minute walk from the train station.
