Car Rental
From any location in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, head south on Barrier Reef Drive. Continue driving until you reach the San Pedro Water Taxi Terminal. Here, you will need to take a water taxi to Belize City. The water taxi ride takes about 1.5 hours and costs approximately $25 USD. Once you arrive in Belize City, drive or take a taxi to the Northern Highway towards Orange Walk. Follow the highway for about 1.5 hours until you reach the turnoff for the Lamanai Archaeological Reserve, located at Q87X+M4J in Water Bank.
Public Transportation (Water Taxi & Bus)
Start your journey at San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Head to the San Pedro Water Taxi Terminal and purchase a ticket to Belize City. The water taxi ride lasts about 1.5 hours and costs around $25 USD. Upon arriving at Belize City, exit the terminal and find the bus station nearby. Take a bus heading to Orange Walk; this ride will take approximately 1 hour and costs about $10 USD. Once in Orange Walk, you can take a taxi to Lamanai Archaeological Reserve (Q87X+M4J), which is approximately a 30-minute drive.
