    Car

    To reach Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave) by car, start in San Ignacio and head south on the Western Highway towards Belmopan. After passing through Belmopan, continue on the Western Highway until you reach the junction with the Hummingbird Highway. Turn right onto the Hummingbird Highway and drive for approximately 37 miles until you reach the town of Teakettle. From Teakettle, turn left onto the George Price Highway and continue for about 8 miles until you reach the town of Unitedville. From Unitedville, follow signs for the ATM Cave, which is located about 8 miles off the main road. Please note that the last part of the journey to the cave may require a 4x4 vehicle due to rough terrain.

    Public Transportation

    To reach Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM Cave) by public transportation, you can take a bus from San Ignacio to Belmopan, and then transfer to a bus heading towards Dangriga on the Southern Highway. Get off at the junction with the Hummingbird Highway and look for a bus or taxi that can take you to the town of Teakettle. From Teakettle, you may need to hire a taxi or ask for directions to the nearest point where you can start the hike to the ATM Cave.
