Car
From Caracol, head southeast on the road towards the George Price Highway (Hummingbird Highway). Continue on this road for about 15 miles (24 km) until you reach the junction with the Crooked Tree Road. Turn left onto Crooked Tree Road. Follow this road for approximately 8 miles (13 km). The sanctuary is located at PFM7+W53, Crooked Tree. Look for signs indicating the sanctuary along the way.
Public Transportation
To reach Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary from Caracol using public transportation, you can take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Belize City. Once you arrive at the junction for Crooked Tree (approximately 1 hour from Caracol), you will need to get off. From there, look for local taxis or ask locals for transport options to Crooked Tree. It’s a short ride of about 15 minutes. Keep in mind that public transport schedules may vary, so check local listings or ask for the next bus departure times.
