Car
If you are traveling by car, start in the center of Caracol. Take the road leading south towards the Western Highway (Hwy 1). After approximately 10 miles, you will reach the junction with the Western Highway. Turn left (east) onto the Western Highway. Continue driving for about 29 miles until you see a sign for Unitedville. Amber Sunset Jungle Resort is located on the Western Highway at mile marker 59. Look for the resort entrance on your right. Note that parking is available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from Caracol to San Ignacio. Once in San Ignacio, look for a bus heading towards Belize City. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at Unitedville, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, it is about a 1-mile walk to Amber Sunset Jungle Resort, which is located along the Western Highway. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Caracol to Amber Sunset Jungle Resort. This option is more expensive, typically costing around $50-70 BZD, but it will take you directly to the resort without any transfers. Make sure to agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey. The taxi will take you along the same route as if you were driving yourself.
