Car
From Caracol, head southwest on the main road towards San Ignacio. Continue driving for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the intersection with the George Price Highway (also known as the Western Highway). Turn left onto the George Price Highway. After about 10 minutes, you will see signs for San Jose Succotz on your right. Follow the signs to San Jose Succotz, which is a small village. Once you arrive in San Jose Succotz, look for the ferry terminal. You will need to take a hand-cranked ferry across the Mopan River to reach the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, which are located just on the other side of the river. The ferry costs around BZD 5 (Belizean dollars) per person. After crossing, you can either walk the short distance to the ruins or take a local taxi if you prefer. The entrance fee to Xunantunich is BZD 10.

To reach Xunantunich from Caracol using public transport, you will first need to travel to San Ignacio. You can catch a local bus or shuttle from Caracol to San Ignacio. The fare is usually around BZD 10-15. Once in San Ignacio, you will need to take a local bus or ask for a shared taxi to San Jose Succotz, which will cost around BZD 5. After arriving in San Jose Succotz, head to the ferry terminal to cross the Mopan River. The ferry costs BZD 5 per person. Once you cross, you can walk or take a taxi the short distance to the ruins. The entrance fee to Xunantunich is BZD 10.
