Boat
Start your journey by taking a water taxi from Caye Caulker to Belize City. You can catch a water taxi from the main dock in Caye Caulker. The ride takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Belize City dock, disembark and head towards the bus terminal, which is a short walk away.
Bus
At the Belize City bus terminal, look for a bus that goes to the town of San Pedro or Ambergris Caye. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the turnoff for Altun Ha; they will drop you off at the nearest point. The bus ride takes approximately 30-40 minutes.
Taxi or Shuttle
From the drop-off point, you can either take a taxi or a shuttle service directly to Altun Ha. Make sure to confirm the fare before getting in. The drive to Altun Ha itself takes around 15-20 minutes. The site is well-signposted, so you should have no trouble finding it.
Walking
If you prefer, you can walk from the drop-off point to Altun Ha, but this will take significantly longer (around 1.5 to 2 hours). Follow the main road until you see signs for Altun Ha, and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
