Getting There

• Car

  From anywhere in Cayo District, start by heading towards the George Price Highway (also known as the Western Highway). Follow the highway eastbound until you reach the junction with the Philip Goldson Highway. Take the right turn onto the Philip Goldson Highway and continue towards Belize City. Once you reach Belize City, follow signs to Fort Street. The Baron Bliss Lighthouse is located at 4 Fort St, Belize City. There is parking available nearby.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can take a bus from Cayo District to Belize City. Buses depart from the main bus terminal in San Ignacio. Look for the buses heading to Belize City; they run regularly throughout the day. The fare is usually around BZ$10-15. Once you arrive at the bus terminal in Belize City, you can take a taxi or walk to Fort Street. The Baron Bliss Lighthouse is approximately a 10-minute walk from the bus terminal. Just head east toward the coast and look for the lighthouse at 4 Fort St.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from your location in Cayo District to take you to the Baron Bliss Lighthouse. This option is more expensive, with fares typically starting around BZ$60-80, depending on your starting point. The taxi driver will take you directly to 4 Fort St, Belize City.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, renting a bicycle in Cayo District and cycling to Belize City is an option. The journey is approximately 70 kilometers and will take several hours. Make sure to plan for breaks and stay hydrated. Once in Belize City, you can navigate to Fort Street, where the Baron Bliss Lighthouse is located.
