From San Ignacio, start by heading east on the George Price Highway (Hummingbird Highway). Continue for about 18 miles (30 km) until you reach the junction at the village of Belmopan. Turn left onto the Western Highway (also known as the George Price Highway) and travel for approximately 12 miles (19 km) until you see signs for Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. You'll want to turn left onto the Pine Ridge Road. Continue on this road for about 10 miles (16 km) until you arrive at the entrance of the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Note that some sections of the road may be unpaved or rough, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.
