From the center of San Ignacio, start at the San Ignacio Town Square. Head east on Burns Avenue until you reach the junction with the Western Highway (Belmopan Road). Cross over to the other side of the highway using the pedestrian crosswalk. Once you cross, you can either catch a local bus heading towards Belmopan or walk along the highway. If you choose to walk, continue along the highway for about 8 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Franks Eddy' or 'Caves Branch Outpost' as you approach the area. After about 1.5 hours of walking, you will arrive at the entrance of Caves Branch Outpost, which is situated near the river.

From the San Ignacio Bus Terminal, take a local bus heading towards Belmopan. The bus departs frequently, and the ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you wish to get off at Franks Eddy. Once you arrive at Franks Eddy, walk for about 10 minutes down the road towards Caves Branch Outpost, following the signs along the way.
