Getting there

Car

From Coastal Plains, start by heading south on the main highway (Philip Goldson Highway). Continue driving until you reach the town of Belize City, which is about 45 minutes away. Once in Belize City, you will need to take a water taxi from the Marine Terminal to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. The water taxi ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and costs around $25 USD per person. Upon arriving in San Pedro, you can rent a golf cart or bicycle, or take a taxi to drive to Secret Beach. The journey from San Pedro to Secret Beach takes about 30 minutes by golf cart or taxi.

Public Transportation

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Coastal Plains to Belize City. Buses are available from various terminals, and the fare is usually around $10 USD. Once in Belize City, head to the Marine Terminal and purchase a ticket for a water taxi to San Pedro, which costs approximately $25 USD and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. After arriving in San Pedro, use local taxis or rent a golf cart to travel to Secret Beach, which will take about 30 minutes.
