Getting There

Bus
From the center of Dangriga, head to the main bus terminal located near the intersection of 2nd Street and the Southern Highway. Look for a bus heading towards Maya Center or the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Mile 12 Southern Highway, ask the driver to drop you off at Maya Center, where the sanctuary is located.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Dangriga. Start from the center of town and head east towards the Southern Highway. Once you reach the highway, turn right and continue straight for about 12 miles. Keep an eye out for the signs for Maya Center. The ride may take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on your pace.

Walking to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary is not recommended due to the distance (approximately 12 miles) and the lack of pedestrian paths along the highway.
