Walking
From the center of Hopkins, head south on the main road. Walk along the coast until you reach the junction with the Southern Highway. At the junction, you'll see a sign directing you towards Maya Center. Continue straight on the Southern Highway for about 12 miles. You will pass through small villages and see beautiful landscapes. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located on the left side of the highway. Follow the signs until you reach the entrance.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Hopkins. Start by heading south on the main road towards the Southern Highway. After about 10-15 minutes, you will reach the junction with the Southern Highway. Turn left and continue cycling straight for approximately 12 miles. The ride will take you through scenic rural areas. Look for the signs for Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary on your left as you approach it.

Walk to the main road in Hopkins and look for a local bus or 'chicken bus' heading towards Dangriga. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Maya Center stop. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you get off, the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary is a short walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs directing you towards the sanctuary entrance.
