Car
From any location in Mountain Pine Ridge, head towards the Cristo Rey Road. Take the road leading out of the Mountain Pine Ridge area and follow the signs towards San Ignacio. Once you reach the main road, turn left onto the Western Highway (also known as the George Price Highway) and drive towards San Ignacio. Keep an eye out for signs for Cristo Rey Road, which is a right turn off the Western Highway. Continue on Cristo Rey Road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Sak Tunich. There is parking available at the site.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Mountain Pine Ridge to San Ignacio. Buses are available throughout the day. Once you arrive in San Ignacio, you can take a local taxi or arrange for a shuttle to take you to Cristo Rey Road. Inform the driver that you are headed to Sak Tunich, which is on Cristo Rey Road. The taxi fare will vary but expect to pay around $10-15 BZD for the trip.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Cristo Rey, you can walk to Sak Tunich. From the main road in Cristo Rey, proceed down Cristo Rey Road. The site is approximately a 20-30 minute walk from the main road, and you will enjoy the natural beauty of the area along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
