From the town of San Ignacio, head east on the George Price Highway (also known as Highway 1). Continue for about 20 miles until you reach the turnoff for Spanish Lookout. Make a left onto the road leading into Spanish Lookout. Follow the road until you see the signs for Aguacate Lagoon. The lagoon is located about 5 miles into Spanish Lookout. You may need to ask locals for specific directions as some parts of the road can be less marked.

From San Ignacio, take a local bus or taxi heading towards Belmopan. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff for Spanish Lookout. The bus fare is typically around BZD 2-5. Once you reach the turnoff, you can either walk (about 5 miles) or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Aguacate Lagoon. Be sure to negotiate the taxi fare beforehand, which should be around BZD 10-15.
