Car
From the town of San Ignacio, head east on the George Price Highway (also known as Highway 1). Continue for about 20 miles until you reach the turnoff for Spanish Lookout. Make a left onto the road leading into Spanish Lookout. Follow the road until you see the signs for Aguacate Lagoon. The lagoon is located about 5 miles into Spanish Lookout. You may need to ask locals for specific directions as some parts of the road can be less marked.

Public Transportation
From San Ignacio, take a local bus or taxi heading towards Belmopan. Ask the driver to drop you off at the turnoff for Spanish Lookout. The bus fare is typically around BZD 2-5. Once you reach the turnoff, you can either walk (about 5 miles) or hire a local taxi to take you directly to Aguacate Lagoon. Be sure to negotiate the taxi fare beforehand, which should be around BZD 10-15.

Combination of Car and Walking
If you have access to a car but don't want to drive all the way, you can park at the entrance of Spanish Lookout. From there, it is a scenic walk of about 5 miles to Aguacate Lagoon. Ensure you have proper footwear and water as the walking path can be uneven. Along the way, enjoy the views of the surrounding nature and keep an eye out for local wildlife.
