If you are driving from the city of Belize City, head north on the Philip Goldson Highway (Hwy 1) for about 30 miles (48 km). Continue until you reach the intersection for the town of Orange Walk. Turn right onto the Orange Walk Road and follow the signs toward the town of Copper Bank. Once you arrive in Copper Bank, look for the coordinates 9J4X+8GJ to guide you to the archaeological site of Cerros. Make sure to have a GPS or a good map, as some roads may not be well-marked.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From Belize City, take a bus heading to Orange Walk. Buses leave frequently and the fare is typically around $6-10 BZD. Once you arrive in Orange Walk, you will need to transfer to a local bus or taxi that goes to Copper Bank. The local transport may cost an additional $5-10 BZD. Inform the driver that you want to go to Cerros or to the area near the coordinates 9J4X+8GJ. Upon reaching Copper Bank, follow the local signs or ask for directions to the archaeological site.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from Belize City to take you directly to Cerros. This will be more expensive, with costs ranging from $100 to $150 BZD depending on negotiation. The taxi will take you along the same route as if you were driving yourself, bringing you directly to the site. Ensure you confirm the fare before starting your journey.

If you're staying in or around Copper Bank, renting a bicycle is a great way to reach Cerros. The site is approximately 5 miles from the center of Copper Bank.
