From the center of San Ignacio, head south on Burns Avenue towards the intersection with the Western Highway. Continue straight until you reach the junction at the Western Highway. Here, you can catch a local bus heading towards Belmopan or a taxi. Inform the driver you want to go to Barton Creek Cave Reserve, located at Seven Miles El Progresso.

Catch a local bus from the main bus terminal in San Ignacio heading towards Belmopan. Tell the driver you want to get off at the Barton Creek Cave Reserve stop. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop, walk towards the entrance of the reserve which is a short walk from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in San Ignacio. Start your ride by heading south on Burns Avenue, then take a left onto the Western Highway. Continue on the highway for about 7 miles. The entrance to Barton Creek Cave Reserve will be on your right. Please ensure to wear a helmet and follow road safety regulations.
