From Sarteneja, head south on the main road (the only road) towards the Botes River. Follow the road for about 15 km until you reach the junction with the Northern Highway. Turn left onto the Northern Highway. Continue driving for about 30 km until you reach the town of Corozal. From Corozal, follow signs toward Mexico and cross the border into Mexico. After crossing, continue to follow the signs toward Bacalar. Once in Bacalar, navigate to Av 1 27 in the Magisterial area. Cenote Negro will be located on this avenue.

From Sarteneja, take a local bus to Corozal. Buses typically leave every hour, and the fare is around $3 USD. Once you arrive in Corozal, you'll need to take a taxi to the Mexican border.
