For those using public transportation, take a bus from Belmopan or Dangriga heading towards San Ignacio. After arriving in San Ignacio, look for a local bus or taxi that can take you to the village of El Progresso. Inform the driver that you are going to Barton Creek Cave Reserve, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, it is a short walk (about 1 mile) to the entrance of the reserve.
