Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the southern region of Belize. Drive north on the Southern Highway (Hwy 1) towards Belmopan. Once you reach Belmopan, follow the signs to take the George Price Highway (Hwy 1) towards Belize City. After approximately 70 miles, you'll arrive in Belize City. As you enter Belize City, follow the signs towards the downtown area. Government House is located at 71 Regent St, which is near the waterfront. Look for parking options nearby as street parking can be limited.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from any southern town (like Dangriga or Punta Gorda) to Belize City. Buses are frequent and cost around BZD 10-15. Once you arrive at the Belize City bus terminal, exit the terminal and you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or take a taxi to Government House. If walking, head north on the main road (Albert Street), then turn right onto Regent Street. Government House will be on your left at 71 Regent St.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in the southern region to take you to Government House in Belize City. Make sure to agree on a fare before starting your journey. A taxi ride from Dangriga to Belize City may cost around BZD 150-200 and take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. The taxi will drop you off directly at 71 Regent St.
Ride-Sharing Services
