Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head south on the Southern Highway (Hummingbird Highway) from Belize City or the nearby towns like Dangriga or Belmopan. Follow the Southern Highway until you reach the junction for Placencia Road (approximately 80 miles from Belize City). Turn onto Placencia Road and continue for about 17 miles until you reach Placencia Village. Laru Beya Resort is located along Placencia Road on the Placencia Peninsula, just before you enter the village. Look for the resort on your right; it’s well-marked.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Belize City, you can take a bus from the Belize City Bus Terminal to Placencia. The buses run regularly throughout the day and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at the Placencia bus terminal, you can either take a taxi or walk to Laru Beya Resort. The resort is located approximately 1.5 miles from the bus terminal along Placencia Road. If you prefer to taxi, expect to pay around $10-15 BZD for the ride.

  If you're already in Southern Belize, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Laru Beya Resort. Just provide the driver with the address: Placencia Rd, Placencia Peninsula. Rates can vary, but expect to pay around $15-20 USD from nearby locations like Placencia Village or surrounding resorts.

• Shuttle Service

  For a more comfortable option, consider booking a shuttle service from Belize City or other nearby towns directly to Laru Beya Resort. Several companies offer this service, and prices typically range from $50-100 USD per person, depending on the distance and number of passengers. It's advisable to book in advance.
