Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    If you're in Belize City, take a local bus to Caye Caulker. Buses leave frequently from the Belize City bus terminal and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Caye Caulker, walk to the water taxi terminal and catch a water taxi to Front Street, Caye Caulker. The water taxi ride is approximately 30 minutes. From the dock, it’s a short walk to Friends of Swallow Caye, located along Front Street.

    If you're driving from Belize City, head south on the George Price Highway (Hwy 1) towards Caye Caulker. You'll reach the water taxi terminal in Belize City (the terminal is located at the end of the street that leads to the water). Park your car in a secure parking lot near the terminal (there is usually a fee for parking, around $10 BZD per day). Then, board a water taxi to Caye Caulker, which takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Front Street on Caye Caulker, walk a few minutes to reach Friends of Swallow Caye.
