Car to Water Taxi
If you're traveling by car, first make your way to the nearest water taxi terminal. The most common terminal for trips to Caye Ranguana is the San Pedro Water Taxi terminal located in San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye. From wherever you are in The Cayes, drive or take a taxi to San Pedro (if you're coming from another caye, like Caye Caulker, you can take a water taxi directly to San Pedro). After arriving at San Pedro, park your car at a designated parking area near the terminal, which may incur a small daily fee (around $10 BZD).
Water Taxi to Caye Ranguana
Once at the San Pedro Water Taxi terminal, purchase a ticket to Caye Ranguana. Several water taxi companies operate this route, and the cost typically ranges from $30 to $50 BZD per person, depending on the company and the season. The ride usually takes about 30-45 minutes. Make sure to check the water taxi schedule ahead of time to confirm departure times, especially if you're traveling during low season.
Public Transportation to Water Taxi
If you are not driving, you can use public transportation to reach San Pedro. Buses run from Belize City to the water taxi terminal in San Pedro. The bus fare is approximately $25 BZD and takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in San Pedro, head directly to the water taxi terminal to continue your journey to Caye Ranguana.
