    If you have a rental car, start from the center of Vaca Plateau. Head towards the Hummingbird Highway (Southern Highway). Take the Hummingbird Highway southbound towards Belmopan. After about 30 minutes, look for the signs indicating the turnoff towards the Mountain Pine Ridge area. Turn onto the road towards Mountain Pine Ridge. Continue driving for approximately 15 miles until you reach a junction. Take the left fork at the junction, which will lead you deeper into the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Follow this road until you reach the parking area for 1000 Foot Falls. Note that the roads can be rough, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.

    Public Transportation

    To reach 1000 Foot Falls via public transportation, first make your way to the nearest bus terminal in San Ignacio, which is about 30 minutes from Vaca Plateau. From San Ignacio, board a bus heading towards Belize City and ask the driver to let you off at the turnoff for Mountain Pine Ridge. The bus fare is approximately BZD 5-10. After getting off at the turnoff, you will need to hire a taxi to take you to the falls, which may cost around BZD 30-50. Ensure you negotiate this fare before getting in the taxi. The taxi will take you directly to the parking area for 1000 Foot Falls.
