If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Vaca Plateau. Head southwest on the main road toward the Hummingbird Highway. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto Hummingbird Highway (also known as Highway 1) heading south. Continue on Hummingbird Highway for about 10 miles. Look for the signs for Billy Barquedier National Park, which is located about 1.2 miles off the highway. The entrance is marked, and you will have to pay a small entry fee of approximately BZD 10-20 per person.

For those using public transportation, take a local bus from Vaca Plateau to San Ignacio. Buses run frequently throughout the day, and the fare is around BZD 5. Once in San Ignacio, look for buses or shared taxis heading to Belmopan. Upon reaching Belmopan, transfer to a bus that goes to the Hummingbird Highway. Inform the driver that you want to get off near Billy Barquedier National Park. From the drop-off point, it is about a 30-minute walk to the park entrance. You may need to pay an entry fee of around BZD 10-20 upon arrival.
