If you are driving from the center of Zou, head south on Route Nationale 1 towards Cotonou. After approximately 45 kilometers, you will enter Cotonou. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue Jean-Paul II. Turn left onto Avenue Jean-Paul II and follow it until you reach Haie Vive. From there, follow the signs to Obama Beach, which is located along the coastline. There are parking facilities available near the beach.

To reach Obama Beach via public transportation, take a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) from Zou to Cotonou. The journey will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the main bus station in Cotonou, look for a taxi or motorcycle taxi that can take you to Haie Vive. The cost for the taxi-brousse is approximately 1,500 to 2,000 CFA francs, and the taxi to the beach will be around 1,000 to 2,000 CFA francs.

If you prefer a quicker option once you are in Cotonou, you can hire a motorcycle taxi. After arriving in Cotonou, find a motorcycle taxi at the bus station or along the road. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 1,000 to 1,500 CFA francs to take you directly to Obama Beach in Haie Vive.
