Car
If you are traveling by car from Zou, head north on the NIE1 highway. The journey to Pendjari National Park takes approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Follow the signs to Djougou and continue straight until you reach the junction with the N6 highway. Take a left onto N6 and continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the park. Make sure to have your vehicle ready for some rough terrain as you get closer to the park.
Public Transportation
To reach Pendjari National Park via public transportation, start by taking a shared taxi (also known as a 'bush taxi') from Zou to Djougou. This trip will cost around 1,500 to 2,000 CFA francs and takes about 2 to 3 hours. Once in Djougou, you can find a taxi-brousse (a larger shared vehicle) that goes to the entrance of Pendjari National Park. The fare for the taxi-brousse is approximately 1,000 CFA francs, and the journey will take around 1 hour. Ensure that you confirm with the driver that they are heading to the park entrance.
