Getting There

From Jakar town, head east towards the main road (Pangbisa Road). Follow this road for about 2 kilometers until you reach a fork. At the fork, take the left path that leads towards the Trashigang area. Continue walking along this path for approximately 4 kilometers. As you get closer, you will see signs pointing towards Trashigang Dzong. Keep an eye out for the dzong's distinctive architecture as it comes into view. The dzong is situated on a hill overlooking the valley, and you will need to ascend a series of steps to reach the entrance. The entire walk should take about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
