Getting There

Car
From Gasa, head south on the Gasa-Punakha Highway (NH 5). Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at Punakha. At the junction, take a left onto the Punakha-Wangdue Highway. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the village of Teoprongchu. Look for signs indicating Chimi Lhakhang. Once in Teoprongchu, follow the signs to the temple, which is about 1 kilometer from the main road. Parking is available near the temple.

Public Transportation
From Gasa, take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Punakha. The bus departs from the main bus station in Gasa. The fare is typically around 100-150 Ngultrum (BTN). Inform the driver that you wish to get off at Teoprongchu. Once you arrive at Teoprongchu, you can either walk to Chimi Lhakhang (about 1 kilometer) or hire a local taxi to take you to the temple. Walking will offer you beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.

If you prefer to walk from Teoprongchu, follow the signs leading from the main road to Chimi Lhakhang. The walk is about 1 kilometer and will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
