From Gasa, drive south on the Gasa-Tashithang Highway. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the junction where the road branches off towards Trongsa. Continue straight for about 90 km on the Trongsa Highway. As you approach Trongsa, follow the signs leading to Trongsa Dzong, which is located in the center of Trongsa town. The Dzong is well-marked and cannot be missed.
Public Transportation - Bus
From Gasa, take a local bus heading towards Punakha or Wangdue Phodrang. Buses typically leave from the main bus station in Gasa. After about 2 hours of travel, you will need to get off at the junction for Trongsa. From there, you can take another bus or a taxi directly to Trongsa Dzong, which is about 20 km away. Ensure to confirm the schedule and availability of the local buses with the station, as they may vary.

If you prefer a more direct route, hiring a taxi from Gasa to Trongsa is a viable option. The taxi ride will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions.
