Getting There

Car
From Haa Valley, take the main road leading to Thimphu. Drive approximately 30 km until you reach the intersection near Chuzom, where you will see signs directing you to Phajoding. Follow the signs onto the Phajoding-Pumola Trail. Continue for another 10 km, and you will find the parking area near the trailhead to Phajoding Monastery. Please note that the last part of the road may be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously.

Public Transportation
Catch a local bus from Haa Valley to Thimphu, which usually departs from the main bus terminal. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and costs approximately 50-100 Ngultrum. Once you arrive in Thimphu, you can find a taxi or shared taxi to take you to Phajoding. The taxi ride will cost around 300-500 Ngultrum and will take about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to take you to the Phajoding-Pumola Trail, where you can park or start your hike.
